Allocate Industrial Plots to BEDIA
The Assistant Minister of Trade and Industry is reported to have pleaded with landboards to allocate land to BEDIA for the sake of investors during a Kgotla meeting at Tlokweng. He also explained that Batswana would benefit from investors setting up in their areas from the jobs that would be created.
He encouraged land boards to work hand in hand with councils to provide fully serviced plots. He said the government gives funds to BEDIA to build factory shells to accommodate entrepreneurs, but shortage of land is a problem.
He informed residents that the whole world is facing a huge challenge of economic decline and Botswana has long preached to diversify its economy with the hope that the locals would be in the forefront to establish industries and the government assists with formulation of rules and regulations.
