Information Technology Department

The Information Technology (IT) department forms part of the Corporate Service Division. Some of the departments that constitute the Corporate Service Division are the Human Resources & Administration, Finance and Property. These departments may not be at the forefront of the Authority's operations but they play a pivotal role in the attainment of the Authority's mandate.

The IT department facilitates the intra and inter-connectivity of Botswana Export Development and Investment Authority, and subsequently guarantees an efficient and effective platform for information sharing. This is made possible by instituting and maintaining robust and paradigm shift conscience websites, databases, LAN, WAN, and MANs. The department is also responsible for sensitizing and or educating BEDIA employees on the use and prudent care of the equipment and software that are available in BEDIA.

This department also helps in the promotion of IT investment in and outside Botswana in collaboration with the Investment Promotion department on the same vein, the department promotes Exports of locally manufactured goods and services (in ICT) in and outside Botswana in collaboration with the Export Development department.
