Finance Department

The Finance department does not participate directly in investment and export promotion activities, but also shares accountability and responsibility for the achievement of the overall objectives of the Authority. Our major objectives are:

  • To coordinate, prepare and consolidate the annual budget for the approval of the board to meet planned operational objectives of the Authority in a cost efficient manner.
  • To ensure all BEDIA projects are carried out within the budget.
  • To conduct ongoing review of the Authority's financial regulations.
  • To ensure final accounts and financial statements are produced on a timely basis and presented to the board and external auditors.

Essentially, the role of the Finance department is to ensure that core departments have the necessary financial support to facilitate their investment and export promotion activities.

The Finance department also assists the Chief Executive Officer and the board in managing issues of corporate governance.
